Since childhood, I have always been deeply affected by the death of my much loved pets and as an adult I can only compare my grief to that of losing a family member. We all know that our dear friend will eventually pass but nothing prepares you for that final goodbye and the emptiness that follows.

Someone grieving for a human passing will always be leant a sympathetic ear whilst we seem almost apologetic when seen to be upset about the death of our much loved pets.

Dealing with the arrangements after our pets’ death are more often than not left with the vet who treated them during their lifetime. I have always preferred to arrange a private, personal cremation myself and take some comfort in the knowledge that they have been treated with the kindness and respect that they received whilst they were alive.

I would like to offer every animal lover the chance to provide their pet with a dignified farewell whilst at the same time giving you total peace of mind.

We operate on a strictly appointment only basis as we like to protect the privacy of clients saying goodbye to their beloved family members.

Please try not to be late for your appointment as this will impact on others. By the same token, if you are early, please wait until your allocated time before entering the building as somebody may still be spending precious moments with their pet.

Thank you for your understanding.

Pet Pig Cremation

Private Individual Cremation

All circumstances are different and it is vital that your needs are met during this emotional time. Most owners prefer to drive their pets to the crematorium whilst others wish to have their pet collected from their home. Another option would be to have your pet collected from the veterinary practice. Either way, your pet will be collected in a private vehicle and driven directly to the crematorium.

Here every pet is treated with the same love, care and consideration we would give our own. You are offered the chance to say your goodbyes at the crematorium where your pet will be laid in our Goodbye room. Here your loved one, be it a small hamster, a Great Dane or even a pet pig will be treated with total respect and cremated privately and individually.

It is not uncommon for people to watch their pets being placed in the cremation chamber and our customers are welcome to do this. Attending the cremation is often a positive experience for those who want to be with their pet until the very end. When booking your appointment it is very important that you request an ‘Attended Cremation Appointment’. This will always be the first service of the day, when the cremator is cool.
Please note: Attended cremations incur additional fees – please enquire for pricing.

During all services, whether attended or not, we will offer words of condolence and discuss ways in which you may want to mark your pet’s passing. We can offer a wide range of fitting memorials, tributes and caskets to help you personalise or mark the chapter in your lives where your pet had been such a major part of your family. Once the cremation process has taken place, we will place your pet’s ashes in the casket of your choice and you will soon be reunited with your loved one.

Our Promise to you

Here at Coton Meadows we are passionate about respectful pet and equine cremation. The way your beloved pets and horses are cared for during the time they spend here is important to us. We want everybody to feel that they have done their very best for them right until the end and because we love animals and we cremate our own pets, we naturally know what is important to you. Therefore our promise is that we will always… Treat them with care, kindness and respect. Cremate them privately and individually in a clean cremation chamber. Collect all of their ashes for you to take home or to be scattered here within the crematorium grounds.

If you would like to visit the crematorium prior to needing us then please call to make an appointment and we will happily discuss your needs and hopefully help ease any worries that you may have about the cremation process.

After a dear friend recommended Colton Meadows to me, my sister on my behalf contacted them and spoke to Karina. The moment I overheard her voice I knew this was going to be the right place to take my beloved Jimmy. When we arrived we were greeted by Karina who’s warmth and smile eased any anxiety we were feeling. My Jimmy was treated with love and the upmost respect. You would think he was their Dog. 🥰 This is the most wonderful place, filled with compassion They went above and beyond with the service they provided Karina and Ken genuinely love animals and fully understand the sheer heartbreak of losing a loved family member. I highly recommend and 5 stars just isn’t enough. Thank you so much. Vikki Robbins

It's been a week since I made the decision to say goodbye to my baby girl Stitch a loyal friend . It was the hardest thing I had to do.I found Coton Meadows who Karina was very welcoming and understanding. I asked if she could arrange for a Vet to come to my house so Chrystal could also say goodbye to her mum they have been inseparable for 12yrs. Karina arranged everything keeping us informed all through the process .It was very peaceful .The adjustment of walking one dog is now the hardest.

Today we said goodbye to our beloved collie Vyrnwy. She was 15yrs old. Karina and Ken were amazing and supported us through. I've always been able to bury my pets but circumstances have changed that, so this was all very new. But this has given my special dog the send of she deserved. Thank you x

I've read all the reviews, and it doesn't surprise me that they are all five star ratings. From the first minute to the last, my wife, Kaz, and I were treated with much dignity and patience throughout the process of saying goodbye to our wonderful , precious boxer dog, Kadie. We can't think you enough, Karina. We highly recommend you. Phil and Kaz.
